Hi there,

My dragon Swift (16months old) is getting more active. I “think” she’s coming out of Brumation. Anyway, she’s going into her hide and scratching a lot now. Then comes out, has a snack or basks, then back into hide and scratches.

Does this mean she wants to lay eggs? If so do I need to supply sand in a box? I thought sand causes impaction. Would reptile be safe?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers

The scratching could be numerous things --- do you know for a fact shes a female-- ? Sand can cause impaction if they are ingesting when eating ---- you could put a dig box in the tank for her to dig -- others on the forum would have better ideas as the cause than I---- AHBD or Tracie Drache613 she is our vet moderater-- you could PM both of them
