Good for now. Soon though, he'll need something larger - I'd go with a full adult sized tank when you do move up - something about 48" long and at least 18" deep.

The Reptiglo 5.0 isn't strong enough for a dragon.

The reptisun 10.0 is the best flourescent UVB light, and then the reptisun 5.0, Reptiglo 10.0 or 8.0 are the other acceptable ones. Anything lower than that isn't enough for a dragon.

Also, are you using the flourescent tube light or the compact version (looks like an energy saver lightbulb)?

These are very important so you'll want to find these out as soon as possible. Your basking spot should be in the 100-110*F range, and the cool side of the tank around 80*.

Mealworms are bad for young/baby dragons - they can't digest the shell and it can block up their insides, causing major problems. Good live feeders for young dragons are crickets and roaches (both no longer than the space between his eyes), silk worms, pheonix worms, butter worms, and smaller hornworms.

Your little guy should be getting fed live food twice a day, as many bugs as he'll eat in 10-15 minutes per feeding. As he grows, this can be upwards of 50-100 bugs a day. You'll want to find a good online source for bugs since that's usually much cheaper than getting your bugs from a petstore.

Here are some helpful websites about the types of greens and veggies that you should offer your dragon:

While he's young he might not be all that interested in his salad (kind of like human kids), but it's still important to put some out for him every day so that he's exposed to that kind of food (it will make up the majority of his diet once he's an adult) and so that he has the opportunity to try it out if he wants.

He should have one feeding of bugs a day dusted 5 x a week with phosphorus free calcium (Repcal Calcium with D3 is a good one) and then 2x a week with a multivitamin (Repcal Herptivite is a good one).

Hello and welcome :) Feel free to ask any questions you have, we're always happy to help.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
