Scared about Heating Pads, Need help with Roach Heating!

Here's my setup as of right now. I just need the heating pad and I should be set. I started breeding roaches again after a year.


Roach chow which I have since ground up in a coffee grinder.

My roach chow is Scratch and Peck soybean and corn free 21% protein starter chick mash. Can pick up a 25 lb bag of it for for $20 online or around $22-$25 locally for me. I like it cause I don't have to mix anything, just fill the breeder bin and feeder bins with a bowl of it and they just go to town.

Nice, I was told you can get insects in your bin because of the chicken food and since I leave mine in the garage I have that fear. Although inside its probably just fine.

Yeah I keep my bin under my beardies cage table so it's indoors and out of the way. If you get something like ants, you can draw a line of chalk around the bin but if you get ants inside your house, you got bigger issues.

Seriously, this works. I've done it before. I don't know why; maybe they don't like to walk through the dust or it disrupts the scent trail they lay down. They get totally confused and will disperse. No kidding!

It screws up their scent trail so they avoid it.
