scab fell off! Now Theres a hole!

Hello,
I have a male bearded dragon named Dune. Several weeks ago I found a burn on his underside where his glands are located. I took him to the vet where I was given shots of antibiotics to give him and silverdine burn cream to put on daily. It looked like it was healing fine with a thick scab. But Today the scab fell off and it left a nice sized hole. I was thinking I might put antibiotic gel on it. But I'm not sure if it would be safe considering the deepness of the hole.
And no worries I no longer use the under tank heater that shorted out causing this.

Hi there...try some unpasteurized honey on it. [ Raw, like from a health food store ] It's a very effective antimicrobial and promotes tissue granulation while keeping the wound sterile. You can probably get very good results with it. If in doubt, Google " raw honey as medicine". Lots of good info.
