Same colony going on... 2 year now?

hello all
my dubia colony has been doing well and going strong for about 2 years now but in the past few months i've noticed a much higher death rate than usual... do you think its time to introduce more to my colony? i currently have 2 bins (one for some reason isnt doing well AT ALL, and the second which was going well for a while but has significantly died down... ideas? any thoughts are appreciated... both my beardies are passed out so i have plenty of time to add more and allow time for breeding

It wouldn't hurt to add some new blood. I have a friend and about once a year we trade 25 females and 10 males to help keep the colonies healthy. I suppose its time for me to bring in some completely new blood too.

okay, thank you, i will look into new bloodlines. I mean it certainly wont hurt lol

check male to female ratio and also for the death rate i would say at you one year mark you had tons of fresh new females giving birth to thousands of new babies which is why you were able to spilt to colony into 2. well its now a year later and thats about the life span of a dubia. also toss in more citrus that seems to work for my guys.
