Hello,
Sometimes too saggy of a beard can indicate health problem, but not all of the time.
We would be happy to review your tank setup with you along with the feeding habits,
etc just to be sure everything is all correct. I noticed that she has some fat pads under
her arms, too. Her color is beautiful!
If she recently had a lot of fluids that can sometimes stay stored in the beard area for
a few days.
Tracie
Okay. She’s in a 50 Gallon Breeder tank with a reptisun 10.0 Tube bulb (not the coiled one) and she’s got a 150 watt heat lamp that brings her basking spot to 105 degrees, her hot side to about 95, and her cool side to 83 degrees.
I’ve been keeping her on a diet of mostly collard greens, butternut squash, green peppers and other veggies and dubia roaches/superworms for her protein sources
She only gets the bugs three days a week because I’ve been trying to get her to lose weight
I let her run around the house and I also let her swim in the bathtub for exercise, but is there anything else I can do to help her lose more weight if she needs to?
