Alright I got two videos because that's just me and I overdo everything. The calcium does seem to be helping out, but his gait still seems a little off to me or is that just in my head? Hahah he's never been one to bob his head, just one to sulk. Hahah he's so lazy that once he finishes exploring, if I don't come to get him so that he can sit with me for a while, he gets all pissy until I get him. Nope....Not whipped at all....

The third one here is from last night, which apparently loaded overnight? I'm not sure, its two minutes long so I had it if you feel like looking at it you can. Haha yeah not overdoing it at all over here...

I do not want to alarm you, but his gait resembles Quincy's in the 2-3 months before he passed away from liver failure.

When was the last time that blood tests were done? Have the liver an kidneys been checked since the antibiotic injections?
I've gotten multiple ultrasounds done and each time they said that they liver and kidneys looked good. I haven't gotten one since starting the antibiotic injections, but we are going for one next wednesday when he finishes up with the injections. The last blood test I got was in mid march and everything looked good.
I don't mind getting the tests done, but I've basically had everything done for him hahaha. I've even had a fungal check.

Hello Jane,

Wow, that is a big improvement in his walking but his back legs do look a little off. He can completely support himself, but seems to have just a bit of balance issues. I am happy to see that he is more active though.
He seems more alert than he was before.
How much liquid calcium are you giving, what is the dose?

I hope he is having a good day! Thanks for the videos. :D

Hi Tracie,
He did, we went outside and he actually was interested in worms today! He even ate one before he stuck his nose up at it.
It says three drops every day, I've been doing it five days a week though because I don't want to overdue it. I estimated it out to about .2ml with a syringe.
He definitely is, I mean when he goes to bed he is out within a few minutes. He tires himself out with all of that running. He also gets outside for at least an hour most days, usually more.
Crossing my fingers for this ultrasound next week.

Hello Jane,

That is great though he is getting good exercise right now, it will help strengthen his system up. :D
Fantastic he ate a worm on his own. At least he is showing interest in food now.
That is probably about right, 1.5-2ml from 3 or so drops. I am glad it seems to be helping out for him.
The outside time should be a good boost for him also, with the great UVB from the sunshine.
His ultrasound is next week?

Keep us posted on him.

So we went and got the ultrasound done today. He has minimal fluid around his heart!!!! :blob5: :blob8: :blob5: :blob8: :blob5: :blob8: :blob5: :blob8:
We are doing 7 more shots to make sure that we get rid of it completely, last time we took it, the fluid came back around his heart with a vengeance. After the shots, he doesn't think that we will need to do another ultrasound. I don't know about that, i might just want to do one to make sure that we don't have any fluid at all. We will see how it goes. His walking is still a little off but its getting better. It's such a relief knowing that its almost gone. Thank you all so much for your help and support, I would have gone crazy without your help and advice!

Hello Jane,

That is fantastic news he ate 8 worms on his own then on July 4th!
Even with encouragement, at least he did eat. :D
I am so happy he doesn't have much fluid around his heart now, how wonderful. He must be feeling so much better now. Hopefully the last round of antibiotics will completely get rid of it. One last ultrasound might be peace of mind.
I am glad his walking is improving slowly, he should hopefully get back to normal!
You have done a phenomenal job getting him back to health, he is a lucky dragon for sure. Congratulations! :blob5: :blob8:

Hey Tracie,
I probably will just to make sure. I don't want it coming back, I don't want to have to have him go through his again. More like I'm a lucky beardie slave, he's pretty much the best thing ever.
Thanks! And thank you for all your help tracie, I wouldn't have been able to do this without you and everyone on this site. I'm just so glad he's healthy and happy, it's fun to be able to take him everywhere with me now without being afraid. :D

Hello Jane,

I am so glad that he is doing so much better! :D
I agree, one last ultrasound would be peace of mind. You are the one who has done all of the work getting him healthy again.
I am sure you will love being able to take him around with you again also & he will love his trips, too!

So update.
We had an ultrasound about two weeks ago, and there is no fluid in his heart, kindeys, or abdomen. Yay!! However he was still opening his mouth from time to time and his walking has gotten worse. The vet had me give him three more shots of Fortaz, but as soon as those were don't he started gaping again. He still has energy and everything, but he again wakes up and gapes for the past two mornings. He's running around and exploring all the time.
I feel like I'm now looking at a respiratory infection, the humidity has been high, like in the 40s but I have a dehumidifier that I run and have no idea what else I could do to get the humidity lower. I just feel like a bad owner because he keeps getting resporatory infections but his temps are fine, his bulbs are relatively new, like maybe three to four months old. Do I need to move somewhere better insulated? I just don't want to see him to continue to have respiratory infections, especially when they shouldn't be this common, what can I do? What am I doing wrong that he gets them once a year at least?

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
