Rubbing Nose

Hey guys,

Our beardie Steve has started rubbing his nose on the glass of his tank. He also has started flicking the carpet out of the way. He is approx 1 year old. He is in a 40g tank. We will be putting him in a 55g soon. The only change is we put in a new giant hammock to replace his old one.

It sounds like he may just be acting up a bit due to his age. This is common and there isn't much to do but wait it out. The larger enclosure should help. I'd keep a close eye on him so he doesn't harm himself or rub his nose raw. Give him some time to run around outside the tank and burn off energy if you have a safe area for him to roam.
