Hey everybody! My name is Jessie. I'm 16 and have been in love with beardies since I was a little girl. Due to financial issues (and the fact my mom hates anything scally) I could never get one. Until this year. I finally got a job, allowing me to buy my first bearded dragon! With out further ado I give you ROUGE!

I rescued her from a very poorly cared for petsmart. She was in a 10 gallon tank with woodchip bedding, and they only fed her like 5 large crickets once a week. It was awful!!!!!!! It was love at first sight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I took her home. She was a little fire cracker. She didn't have one second of relocation stress and she warmed up to me on like the third day. She's currently sleeping on my shoulder. I've had her for two months now and I couldn't be happier!!

Don't forget beardies typically won't stop growing until the end of their second year.

Awe thanks! She's the love of my life. I know, she just seems a lot smaller than beardies her age. Besides Myah, she's a slim little beauty. Rogue gets to go to work again with me tomorrow! I can't wait. Rogue says thank you!

Didi is only 17" long and he's 7 yrs old, so she's within normal & as Liz said, they typically grow a bit more over their 2nd year. Every beardie I've had, that I got in their 1st year, grew another inch in their 2nd year, so you never know!

Isn't that great that you can take Rogue to work once a week? Glad the kids love her and she must sure enjoy the adventure!

That's good, I was worried because she rarely sheds anymore. Rogue says thank you! Yeah we both love it. She doesn't quite like getting held by the kids though. But they're surprisingly gentle with her. These kids are some of the smartest and kindest kids I've ever known. They know so much about bugs and nature. It's amazing!

Me and Rogue had a great day at Lime Hollow today. It's fishing week, she got to eat a little baby bass I caught in a net. She's cuddled up on my chest right now. She had a long day. This one kid was really mean to her. I had to tell him he wasn't aloud to touch her. I felt bad, but I wasn't going to let Rogue get tortured by children. On the other hand this girl Hannah was really good with her, and Rogue loved her and the other counselor Ben. Speaking of Ben... He's so cute. And he seems like a really nice guy. I added him on facebook and I'm hoping I get his number.

Little kids can be a hit or miss. If their parents spoil them, they can be rotten like that boy and if they have some discipline and structure they can turn out like Hannah. There are days where I see kids and I never ever want to have kids and then there are the kids that make you go "I want one!"

I didn't know bearded dragons could eat fish. Learn something new every day.

I know what you mean. Most of the kids at camp make me wish I was a mom, but some of them just make my day hell. I guess it's a good thing that 35 out of the 40 kids are angels.

Yeah, I give Rogue tuna once in a while, she loves it. Someone on another forum told me that beardies love fish.

And thanks, I don't really think he even notices I'm there most of the time though. I guess I'll have to make more of an effort to talk to him.
