Roaming Around The House

Ok so Scarlett is getting older and she's starting to want to explore.. I know a lot of you let your beardies roam free in the house but I have a few concerns.. I'm always afraid that Scarlett will get lost in the apartment or will go hide somewhere.. One time I was going to let her run around the bedroom and she ran under the bed and got in the fartherest corner by the wall..lol She wouldn't come out so finally I had to pull the bed out to get her... Another concern of mine is she always wants to try and jump from the couch to the floor or the coffee table to the floor.. Does anyone have any little ladders or ramps that they put up to the couch so they can safely get down? She loves being out and I hate to rob her of that luxury but I don't have time to just sit there and watch her.. Anyone have any suggestions?

We let our dragons out in the living room (one at a time cuz they're both males) when we're watching TV. but they will also try to run under the couch or tv etc. I block off the tv stand so they can't get under it (lol with dvd cases) and just keep pushing them away when they try to get under the couch. I'll also put a pillow on the floor where my dragons try to jump off the couch.

draco has free roam around my room, i just make sure i block off the bed with pillows (which he usually climbs on top of and falls asleep) other than that he will stay in the hallway.

If she does run under something is there an easier way to get her out without having to move furniture? lol I'm always worried she will get in the kitchen and go under the refrigerator or something..

Hmm..you can probably get a leash...and tie it up to something but make it long enough for the beardie to explore. I don't know if it's a good idea...but it's an idea. Teehee:)

I have the same concern. I really want to let them roam around like they really want but I'm afraid that they will go under something and I will have to try to get them  The only thing that I can think of is to block off anything that they can get under..... ugh :(

Beardie proofing the room you let your beardie roam in is always a good idea. Blocking off cracks and/or furniture you don't want them to get in or under is always good. Believe me.. with beardie's they will get into the darndest places. Members have thought they lost their beardies in a room before, to find them later tucked far away under something. They can get into some pretty tight spots.
Don't be afraid to let them roam.. just be aware of where or what they can get into.

Yes, you do need to worry about what they might eat while out roaming. I can tell you that beardies are attracted to small shiny objects. About 6 yrs ago my oldest beardie tried to eat a stainless steel nut  Thank goodness my son was there and turned the beardie upside down and gave a good shake. The nut came flying out.. phew!
You just have to observant of what's laying around on the floor before letting your beardie roam.

Use small towels to block spaces like under the fridge. I have baby gates for the dogs so its easy to remove kitchen access altogether. The kitchen is one place I don't think they need to be. Close all bedroom doors and lock the front door if you have roomies might come walking in unannounced. Vacuum really well, they will eat fuzz, coins, whatever might happen to be laying around.

Jupiter is still small enough to fit in places he shouldn't be so I always watch him, I set aside at least 15 minutes for play time. Even though that doesn't sound like much, he always finds something to get into.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
