Shenron's been doing this since he was a baby, so I don't think it's a case of mouth rot.

Shenron, whenever he rests or sleeps, has his mouth slightly open. It's not open much at all, just a really small amount. Does this mean my beardie perfers to breathe through his mouth when he rests? Does anyone elses' do this? Is it just a matter of prefrence to the beardie?

Hi there,
He could just be gaping. Dragons do this to thermoregulate and cool off.
If its constant it might be worth looking at your temperatures.
Can you tell us your coolside and basking temperatures and how are you taking these temperatures?

Sorry for the extremely late reply. I have been at college and thus have not been able to check anything. I will pick up a new thermometer at Wal-Mart and will check them over winter break (which is near the end of February). I will get back to you then.

Again, sorry for the delay.
