In this case the opposite of rescued is not stolen. you did both, however those poor baby beardies all deserved a nice home, in this case you did the right thing.

Please send me the lacation of this store in a private message so i can have them shut down for animal cruelty.

Stolen.
*EDIT*
FYI - if the reporting is going to PETA all of the animals will be killed.
PETA does not "rescue" animals. they do not believe any animal should be 'owned' as a pet and would rather see them dead than in the hands of humans.

I was actually going to recommend contacting PETA (I hope that's okay?) as they will put out a bulletin to members on their list for you if you are forming a protest at the store, and can even help with some advice.

I'm not as radical as PETA, and they do engage in activities I don't agree with. But, please be assured that while some members of PETA have been known to take animals out of shelters where they were receivng poor treatment and euthanizing them (a pracitce I do NOT condone! Also, it is a misconception that PETA, the organization, does this as a rountine practice. Pleaes check out: http://features.peta.org/petasaves/?utm_campaign=0512%20PETA%20Saves%20Feature&utm_source=PETA%20Google%20Ad&utm_medium=CPC&gclid=COrn7K-5_LMCFQ-f4AodlXcAxA), PETA - the organization - does engage in rescues.

Here's just one example:
http://www.peta.org/features/lucy-and-peggy-rescue.aspx

We've participated in a PETA protest, and the people who work at their main office aren't the same people who throw paint on people's fur coats.

I don't disagree with you about PETA's ultimate agenda. I'm just saying that in cases such as this they can be a valuable resource to assist you.

Ok, now I have 2 People wanting the Name and Location of the Store, which I don't Mind Giving. But I do not want PETA to be the First Source we go to, now I'm worried the Animal's and Herps wont get Rescued, they'll get put Down. :/ Which I Do NOT want to Happen at all. Because my Bro's G/F that I have Referred to in my Comment's, She was with PETA for a few year's. And She drive's a Little Blue Volkswagen Beetle and would Run Big Truck's off the Road carrying Cattle and Chicken's to the Slaughter House and such. So I would Prefer to go with the ASPCA First and see what they can do, then if they Fail, contact PETA as a Last Resort.

Suggestion's???

look up local reptile rescues in the area. there a few on facebook. they would be the best people to have with the ASPCA because they will be able to handle the care of reptiles. ASPCA mostly deals with furry animals, but have the resources to help rescue the reptiles.
contacting a local news station wouldn't hurt either. if the SPCA can't get the animals out the news would force the store to change their care methods or face going out of business because everyone in the area who sees the newscast will think twice before going there.

Excellent suggestions, Bunnyrut. Hopefully some rescues will want to help out. And media is a definite help with any form of protest. You may also want to contact the Humane Society.

You did the wrong thing but for the right reasons. Send them a couple of 20 dollar bills to clear your conscience (anonymously!). It will make you feel better, it's the right thing, and it's more than they would have gotten if you didn't take the beardie, since it would have surely died. I'm glad he's living the life of Riley now!

DON'T send them money, under ANY circumstances!!! Any economist will tell you that providing an incentive for people to engage in a behavior (like giving them money) only encourages them to engage in that behavior. You want to clear your conscience, contact PETA and show up at the protest. Inappropriate comments removed by Moderator

Yes! I didn't think about the New's, that is a very good Idea. But I would like to see if it can be Handled quietly before it has to get "Loud" Before anything Happen's. But gotta do what you gotta do.

So I've got Contact.

Humane Societies.
PETA.
ASPCA.
News.

Get Picture's of the Animal's in their Bad condition's.
Maybe get an Employee say something about not caring about animal's being Dead and such.
And I'm going to do my own Research on the Web about what to do as well.
Just wish my Bro and His G/f would write back me back already. -_-

Like someone else said, you did the wrong thing for the right reasons. I work at a pet store, and we have had a few animals stolen from us. It's heartbreaking for everyone and it really ticks me off. If you can't pay for a pet, you shouldn't have it in the first place. It sounds like you can afford to take care of your beardie just fine, so I know that isn't the case for you, but as someone who has actually had animals stolen right from under me I'm just giving you my perspective. It sounds like it's likely that the employees didn't even notice since there were so many bearded dragons and some of them were dead, but IMO there could have been better ways to handle it.
I'm sure your beardie is grateful for you getting him out of there though.

PETA and the ASPCA/HSUS are against keeping reptiles as pets, so I don't think contacting them would be the best idea. I would start with your local animal control.

I don't understand how u guys think this is somewhat wrong if they couldn't notice one missing thEn they obviously don't care and on top of that this beardie would be dead right now if u didn't save it 70 beardies that's redicolus

I agree. If your conscience is hurting, think about the look that little beardie gave you when you connected. You did the RIGHT thing! The only thing you did wrong was not report them! I'm sorry, but they don't deserve a single penny of yours. They need to be shut down and not make another dime ever again for what they do.

I think the difference here is that you actually CARE about the animals and your job, or at least it seems that way. These people obviously don't care. Losing the animal wouldn't be "heartbreaking" for them--the loss of money would be.

I commend you for that approach, RuselBro! If you can try to change their way of doing things, that would be great. If not, you have other options. Hoping this all works out for the better care of the beardies (and other critters at that store). It's great that you are going to try to make a difference!

Just to put my 2 cents in... It might technically be stealing, but I can guarantee you that I would have done the exact same thing. There is no way I could have walked away from a situation like that. I'm glad you're taking action against the pet store! Sounds like they definitely need new management/ownership. In a situation like that, the store either needs do a complete 180º and change everything or they need to shut down. Don't bother sending them money! I get so angry when animals are treated like objects. The very first cat I got (about 7 years ago) came from someone standing outside of a McDonalds. They had one kitten in a cardboard box, and said they would throw her in the river if someone didn't take her. :angry5: :angry5: I scooped her up and brought her home with me. So I definitely understand why you took Shenron. :) I'm glad he has a forever home with you! :love5:

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
