Definitely get the name of the anti fungal when possible. Hopefully it's Voriconazole or Itraconazole. As for the bandaging, you could try if you want. You could either wrap his whole torso or just patch the side with the sores. Standard gauze is fine, and use paper tape to adhere to the scales. It's a low-tack tape that's meant for sensitive skin. You can use regular adhesive tape on top of the paper tape where the paper tape meets the gauze to help prevent the tape coming off the gauze. The regular adhesive tape should not touch the scales, just use it to more securely adhere the paper tape to the gauze.
Vetrap is a light elastic outer bandaging material that is applied over the tape and gauze dressing. It can be used to cover the dressing to prevent its becoming soiled and is mildly water resistant. Vetrap can be used to anchor the dressing by wrapping it around the torso and opposing limb. The edges of the Vetrap should extend beyond the edge of the tape on, both sides of the dressing.
I don't think the wrapping is completely necessary, but if he moves and smears the honey or irritates the wounds, it may be a good idea.
His temperatures should be kept at around 80, even at night, to help boost his immune system.
