New beardie owner, here. I listened to Petco’s horrible advice on lighting and am now kicking myself in the butt for it. Luckily I have the means to fix it quick. But my question is, i’m Buying the reptisun 10.0 t5 ho uvb tomorrow and I want to have Phoenix’s new 55 gal terrarium set up for him by the time the light comes. Do you suspend the reptisun or put it on top? I know that putting it on top filters out up to 50% of the rays but is that true also for the reptisun? I have read different things all over the place and am looking for experienced answers. My little guy was surrendered to petco and didn’t have calcium or adequate lighting and is showing very pre signs of mbd. I can’t let him go back to petco where I know he will die. He is currently being fed Phoenix worms and butter worms and has fresh mustard greens, coolly greens, yellow squash, Alfa sprouts, etc daily but he has only eaten the greens two out of the six days that I’ve had him. Does anyone have any ideas on getting him to eat his greens? Also, he is 12 inches long and we’re unaware of his age. We were told he was in too small of an enclosure so his tail curled. I don’t believe this because they also told me a vet looked him over and he was healthy. (His color was super dull and he was Skinny. Now that we have been feeding him butters he’s gained some weight. Phoenix worms came in the mail today and he ate 2 tonight. Should I still be dusting those since he still needs d3? He still doesn’t seem to be eating as much as other dragons. But he also just got done shedding his back feet. Is this normal? He hate 8 butters this morning and 2 bsfl and 1 butter tonight. He is also given spring water but I never see him drink it. I don’t want to sound crazy but I am kinda driving myself mad over researching and trying to get his terrarium set up perfect to his conditions. Any advice on that would help sooo much too
