My little guy has not ate right since I bought him at about 4.75" Now he is about 5.75" and still only eats a few crickets a day along with some greens. I decided to order some reptaid today in hopes of stimulating feeding. I have tried a variety of feeders...so I hope this works.

That could have something to do with all sorts of things such as lighting and other stuff. Reptaid might help tho. Both my lizards eating better since I have had them on reptaid

From what I am reading, this sounds like a product that every reptile owner should have whether they think they need it or not. I think I will go get some today (if Petsmart or Petco has it). Should this be added to my feeding regime? 10 days on, two days off? Or just as an occasional maintenance supplement?

Unfortunately the big box petstores are not carrying it yet. Many smaller pet stores around the country are. Some of them are listed on http://www.reptaid.com. If you are not near them it can be ordered online and we ship pronto! I can be used proactively which a lot of reptile owners are doing. But we recommend just giving it to the animal once a month for a couple or 3 days. Keep it in the fridge and if one of your animals is sick or just isnt eating right, you have it available to help them out right away.

I've had both of my beardies on it for about 9 days and one appears to have almost made a full recovery and is finally gaining weight again and her feces look normal. My male on the other hand will need an extended period so I will be doing 2 days off and then back on for another 10. Do note they say its shelf life is a year after the bottles are mixed and refrigerated and there are more then enough doses to do it for a good amount of time threw out the year. So just doing maintenance here and there will probably just result in a good amount of the bottle being wasted unless your using it on more then just one reptile.

So far I am very pleased with the product and will buy again

I just wanted to publically thank Elliot for all the guidance with purchasing and answering my many questions about the product. I started Brady on Reptaid three days ago and *WOW* what a difference already. The biggest is BRADY'S EATING AGAIN!!! Yeah!!!!!!! His activity level has risen and he's very alert. He takes his medicine without delay (actually seems to enjoy it) and has started eating is worms. He at 4 for breakfast yesterday and 5 for lunch. Didn't eat anything for dinner but I'm ok with this and will continue slowly. He's all white bellied even in the mornings when he was usually dark. I'm enjoying seeing him come around and look forward to him starting to put on weight. Thanks again Elliot. I would definitely recommend giving this a try and I'm glad it has a shelf life (in the refridge) for a year. It's good to know I'll have it for an occasional maintance.
Monica (I'm pleased thus far):blob8:

OK I know about my experience with this product, and Im not going into it. There are 2 sides to every coin. Are there any people that saw no difference or are the differences that are being seen just a product of propper husbandry being corrected. So far this thread reads like a commercial rather than a discussion. I want to go on record that Im not being sarcastic, mean, attacking, or anything of the sort. Im am very curious about BOTH sides of this coin. I have never been a person to be SOLD on something, so lets see some back and forth on this....lol **** ADDED NOTE I SEE SOME DEBATE IN PRIOR PAGES ******

Ok I see where Tom is going with this and again I am asking that ALL users of this product please post your experiences here.I will admit that I have seen a few people discuss it on other threads that for some reason or another have not posted here as of yet.So let me say once ahain for the record that no one is going to bash you for anything you may have to say. This thread was set up as sort of a test trial for this product which means we really need "both sides of the coin" as Tom put it.

OK I posted on this before on this thread. I am just rehashing here so maybe we can get an actual debate going.
I have 2 diff dragons I tried the product on.
One was just lethargic and not eating.
The other has been truly ill and I am still taking care of him almost a year later.
On My lethargic female I saw no noticible change in appitite or energy levels or desire to eat.
I finnished 2 rounds of the reptaid saw no change and stuck to normal husbandry techniques.
Rhonda is now coming out of burmation eating and acting Her old self again. About 3 months after my reptaid treatment. So repatid WAS NOT the reason for Her doing better. It was just regular husbandry and vet care.

Now Apollo has been a problem for me since last may. I have done antibiotics, parasite treatments, and a couple other treatments. I gave Him reptaid for 3 rounds of treatment at about His 6 month of problems and again nothing no help no harm. I am still feeding Apollo and He isnt the dragon He used to be.

That is my reptaid experience, and I think its safe to say Im not an inexperienced keeper. Im ok with the fact I tried it but I probably would never buy another bottle again without some serious scentific backing.

i still hate that the reptaid didnt help your situation at all. Tom purchased the reptaid on my suggestion as a shot in the dark in hopes of it helping his 2. I had high hopes it would help and it did not. With apollo i think tom said he was no different before than he was after the treatment. And with his female she got better via prescription drugs, so had their been any ill effects from the reptaid it would have probably been covered up by the other drugs (though i doubt there were any bad side effects personally, rather than it not doing anything).

No negatives that I could see.
No help, No harm.
My feeling on many of the success stories on here is simple propper husbandry. And I stress this is just MY OPINION...lol

That's what I figured as well but I wanted to verify that just for the informational purposes of the thread.

Just want to add a thought.
Reptaid helps with infections, parasites, and general immune system boost.
If an animal is exhibiting symptoms of illness such as lethargy or lack of appetite and energy, incorrect coloration, sunken eyes, then it needs something obviously.
If after a serious use of Reptaid there is no improvement, then the problem was not as simple as parasites or infection. Very likely there is a chemical imbalance like a calcium/phosphate problem in the blood, due to improper supplementation or diet. Or there is a dehydration problem or incorrect temperature issues. Or something simple like a worn out UVB bulb that is not emmitting enough because it is old and needs to be replaced.
In our experience when we had an animal which was not responding to Reptaid, the next step was a trip to the vet for a blood workup. Of course this is expensive, like $100 just for the blood work. But the vet can tell us what is out of balance and what needs to be corrected. That is invaluable information that we as breeders and keepers cannot possibly determine in our own facility.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
