I have started Georgie on another 10 day course of Reptaid as advised. She is eating now, but very little. For the past week she has just ate between 8-10 mealies a day. She won't touch anything else. How long should I wait before I start feeding her baby food again if she doesn't start eating more soon? I don't want her to starve.

It sounds like she is eating more. Your post a week ago said she just ate 5 mealworms for the first time in months. Now she is eating 8-10 mealworms a day. So that is significant improvement. Keep giving her the Reptaid and let her eat all that she will eat. keep introducing the crickets and veggies every so often. She should eventually respond to them too. And please keep us posted! Tell her she has a friend on this side of the big pond.

Thanks Elliot, your help and care is much appreciated, but this is so worrying and frustrating!!! I have also started giving her a little Bee's Pollen as I heard this was good for them and could help with her appetite...do you agree?

I will agree that bee pollen is good for her but as for helping with appetitie I dont know so much about that. But if you heard that it works then go for it. I eat a lot of honey myself. Mostly because I love it, but also because it is good for me.

My male bearded dragon has recently stopped eating... well, not recently. It's been about 2 months since hes stopped eating vegetables and all he will eat are those darn Supers (about 3 a day). His activity level has been down and, everytime I take him out all that he does is find somewhere to hide and rest or mope around.

I KNOW this cannot be brumation. He usually acts this way around October, not May. And its sooooo hot here.
I ordered Reptaid hoping it would up his appetite since the vet couldn't see anything physically wrong with him (he won't poop either... which is normal to me at this point. He only goes like, once a month, if I take him somewhere other than the tub for bath time. But the vet said "Oh, well he hasn't been eating anything so.... what is there to poop out?")

He doesn't goooo.
His temps are fine. I leave the air conditioning on in my room 24/7 because I live on the 3rd floor.

My hopes is that Reptaid will perk him back up and bring his colors back. I don't like to see him hiding under his cave all day, awake, or lazy in the same spot for days.

No he didn't. I guess he didn't think it was necessary, although I really wanted him to do one.

Aussie just won't go to the bathroom when I want him to >_< and I was hoping he would at the vets office because he seems to like to want to go when we are out in public. His poop doesn't smell though and looks quite normal (but you know, that's just from normal eye observation). And the dude only goes about once a month no matter how many times a week I soak him.

When he was younger, he has had parasites (at about 6 months of age) which he was cured of... he is now 2.5 years old.

Hey Elliot I have a question. I just received my reptaid (thank you by the way) and I have some questions about administering it. All I have for feeders right now is meal worms and I don't know if he'll eat it right away (he's kind of fickle when it comes to eating right now) but I'm a little nervous about holding his mouth open, I highly doubt he'll bite me he's extremely docile (he's never even puffed out his beard) but I don't wanna stress him out more than I have to. So I was also wondering if there's a particular technique to getting his mouth open. And you said I should mix water with the dose if i squirt it directly into his mouth, how much is okay to mix with .05ml?

Most dragons seem to be easy going about having their mouth opened to squirt in the Repaid. Some even really like the taste and then after the first dose the dragon wants to suck on the syringe. Really it is not that stressful to gently pry his mouth open. The good health effects of the treatment with Reptaid far outweigh the stress caused by giving it to him. As for adding some water you can safely draw in .1 or .2ml with the .05ml of Reptaid XL and have some liquid for him to swallow. Keep us posted.

I gave him a dose of it earlier, i just filled the syringe with .05 and then filled it up to .1 with water, it was a little weird to do lol but it didn't seem to bother him too much. I'll definitely keep you posted, I'm looking forward to the results.

Hey I just noticed my bearded dragon's mouth is kinda slimy, I know this is a sign of respiratory infection, he isn't showing any other symptoms, no audible or labored breathing. I live in Oregon though and it is quite humid here, so it wouldn't surprise me. I'm thinking if he does have a respiratory illness it's minor, will the reptaid get rid of it?

Although reptaid is a good herbal supplement, It will never replace vetinary science.
If your pooper does have an infection an antibiotic is needed.

The thing is I don't really know if it's a respiratory infection =/ like I said he has no discharge from his mouth or nose, or labored breathing, i just noticed his mouth was a little slimy when I opened it to give him his reptaid. Is it normal for their mouths to be somewhat slimy?

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
