Screams!
Jaspar is my GIRL
Houdini is my BOY
I had them Reversed Little Girl is not the girl!
We have Eggs!
88 degrees in the tank perfect for them
Accidental
Im just going to leave them with mom and see what happens since she is sooo wrapped on them right now. I'll keep up the water and the 88 degrees.

Bounces around

Now I HAVE to find Houdini...note the name change. Escaped the 55 gallon tank just before she laid. I guess doing the guy snake thing.

Escaped the closed tank lights on it and all. Cover was in place. He's been around the living room.

Just staying well out of sight.

We brought down the baby mice into the small tank the other night hoping to entice. With cat and dog thoguh I think he's laying low.

Tonight another search with fresh eyes.

That's awesome! Congratulations on the eggs.
Mothers usually do a pretty good job taking care of them, the only reason people really incubate is to increase hatch rates and to get the mom on a feed schedule to breed the following season.
God Bless,
Aaron

We found him and he is back in the 20 long and curled up in the corner just fine. I slid the eggs gently onto the under rug. She had slipped everything around and found the glass of the tank. She let me pick her up rested wrap and set her back in. One long hiss from her AFTER things were set.

how funny is that. the eggs are HUGE. someone on line had noted something like this. They are over 3 inches oblong and there are 6 of them. Even if I get only one it will have been successful. We just had the mice produce a second litter and took 8 to the pet store as feeders. So by the time he and she are square we will have feeders here for them too. :)

And who knows maybe pinkies on site. That would be so cool.

They a;; dried out to nothing but brown. I tried to keep it moist and warm. We got the warm but not enough moist. Mom hissed at me with the removals but settled when I put her back. She took a fuzzy.

So I think she will be fine.

I'm so disappointed.

Bal Pythons. The eggs were huge too. close to 2x the size of normal eggs over 3 inches end to end. I'm really sad but not surprised.

The temp was good and I tried to keep moisture in the tank even wet covered it since its a tall tank. top of tank had 65% humididy. I had a big water bowl nearby filled daily and sprinkiled the covers. I'm wondering if it was the lack of aircflow but she was so curled around them...

She's a normal though on the yellowish side. He's a pastel.

I had a waiting list too. Friends who love my kids and wanted to 'do it right'. :(

I suppose not bad for a first try novice. No one could find me an incubator adn I'm not mechanically inclined. I can garden my heart out but...I don't build unless its in clay.

Without some sort of substrate like vermiculite or something it would be next to impossible to maintain the humidity levels required for egg incubation, particularly in a glass aquarium. If you would have been close to us we had room in our incubator for another clutch. We actually have a clutch of eggs that are on day 60. We cut them so we could get a peek at them on day 57. It is looking pretty good so far 4 pastels PH albinos and 3 PH albinos. This is the wifes and my first breeding season. Our eggs are kept in shoe box tubs with properly moistened vermiculite. We run the temps in the incubator around 89 degrees and the humidity is close to 90%. Not counting the one we are waiting the babies to come crawling out of we have two more clutches in the incubator now and two more girls that should give us clutches over the coming 2 months or so. So if all goes well we should have around 35 babies this year. :blob8:

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
