Dragons are like Reticulat Pythons,they are what you make of them. My red boy was supposed to be a hard to handle and get out of his enclosure but I never had a problem with him.If you are that unhappy with your Dragon then maybe he can sense it and is not happy too.

I wonder if it would be worthwhile to look into natural remedies such as antioxidants that help humans have more energy. Another thing to try (if you haven't already) is to do some enrichment activities with him, such as changing his enclosure around every couple of days, putting salad in various places around the cage so he has to look for it, etc. When I worked at the zoo, we did enrichment activities like that with all of the animals. With reptiles there is more of a limit on what you can do, but that might be a place to start.

all this speculation is getting really rediculous. Its not something gail is doing wrong. Its not her attitude towards the dragon. Its not the dragons tank. Her husbandry is fine and she tries to interact with him as much as possible he just does not respond.

I've only had Spike a little while, but so far I haven't regretted getting him and hope I never feel that way. Spike is like a best friend to me, I couldn't let go of him for anything.

And it is apparent all you learned in school was how to try and nag at someone to get a annoyed and unhappy response. But I am not going to play into your foolish game.

My point is people do not need to make careless assumptions such as blaming it on Gail's care.

That is quite enough.There has already been one previous warning in regards to the behavior on this thread and now there are two.A third will result in the thread being locked and warnings/bannings being put in place for the offending parties.I apologize to the OP and to the members on this thread that have tried to be caring and helpful.For the rest of you if you feel a poster is being disrespectful or rude then it is your responsibility to report the thread NOT to admonish those that have "commited the crime", that is MY job.
