Red light on glass

I got given a new Viv for Christmas for my leopard gecko, my previous one had a mesh top on which I placed the red bulb, the new Viv is all glass, is it ok to still put the red light on top?

If its glass and not plastic it should be fine. Make sure its getting you the temps you want though.
