Happy 15 month Birthday PeeWee. :p

Loved his beard in the pictures, guess he showed that plane who was boss. I've never seen a darkened beard on Loki either, his just seems to turn more yellow with some orange tones.

Hope you are doing well, thoughts, prayers and well wishes always coming your way.

I can't believe my baby Pees is 15 months old already   No matter what he will always be my baby PeeWee!! He's actually been tired and super sleepy lately. I know it's not his uvb because I just replaced it a few months back. I actually think he may brumate this year. It's looking like Frank and PeeWee may go down at the same time. I would really miss Pees, I'll be super lonely without his kisses and snuggles.
Charlie the new Pacman frog is doing great. He's actually grown a lot in the short amount of time we've had him. I introduced Charlie to PeeWee the other day, and of course Pees wanted to play with him. They were separated through glass, don't worry. Pees just loves everyone and is a big goof ball I love it.
Right now both Jeffrey and I are sick. I have pneumonia which my oncologist is watching closely, I finally broke my fever last night after 4 days woohoo!! Jeffrey has a bronchial infection, so we've been pretty lazy. My doctor said if now that I broke my fever it doesn't stay away for a full day he will hospitalize me..Pray hard it stays away, the fever that is!

So sorry to hear that you and Jeffrey have both been so sick. Hopefully you are both on the mend now, drink lots of clear fluids to keep that fever down. You should both take it easy too, don't overdo it, cater to yourselves a lot.

For your sake, Kaleen, I hope PeeWee won't fully brumate this winter but slow down a bit, and that you'll still get to snuggle with him daily.

Man oh man! You don't need to be hospitalized, for anything. I'll be praying that your fever stays out of your system and will never return.

Well Mr. Pees is still fully awake! Honestly I don't think he could give up food long enough to go in to a full brumation. Gina is right, he will probably just slow down for the winter, but still be up and loveable for his Mama! I'm so needy
I have to thank all of you for the well wishes, and prayers. They definitely have an effect because I am doing much better tonight than I was last week. I had to go back to the hospital on Saturday night, but got to go home early Sunday morning. Since then I have been slowly improving and feeling more energetic. It's crazy because with all this health drama I am still planning a wedding in the midst of everything. My life is awesome and I am so happy, besides being miserably unhealthy :( Luckily I've got enough positive support and love around me the good definitely out weighs the bad.
Oh before I forget, the cutest thing happened on Sunday afternoon. PeeWee had his first horn worm!! He went wild for them :blob8: :blob8: At first he had no idea what to do with this big green thing  I placed the worm infront of him and he stared at it for quite a while. Then he looked up at me and Jeffrey with the most puzzled look on his adorable little face, I really wish we had it on video  After a few minutes he decided to go for it, and boy was he super excited he did. I kid you not he almost jumped out of the cage for the next one, he almost ate the entire cup. We had to cut him off so we had enough left to give the other 7 babies patiently drooling...I mean waiting! I took some pictures of PeeWee eating his horn worms, I will post them tomorrow night.
One last update, our pacman frog Charlie is growing quickly, he's currently going through a shed. Apparently it's pretty rare to catch them in the act of shedding, I thought he was really tired because he kept yawning and rubbing his face hahaha!! I didn't think it was possible, but pacman frogs grow faster than beardies. It's absolutely amazing how fast they grow!

I'm so glad to hear you're feeling better, that just made my day!

So PeeWee has hornworm fever? So does Didi and Rubio, I bought a bunch, Titan ran away from it in fear, Lonzo turned his head, so did Gabriel and Leo, so Didi and Rubio got the whole bunch. I bought 20 and they were gone in 2 days! So next treat time will be maybe this weekend, I'll have to check the funds after I get the car in, needs a tune-up. It was so funny to watch them being eaten, they're so big and green & soft. Did the rest of your crew eat them, too?

It will be so much fun to get pics & hear of the wedding and how it all goes, times is sure passing along quickly. Hopefully all goes better health wise!

So glad to read that you're feeling better by the day. I'm sure having PeeWee by your side helped a lot.

Too bad you weren't able to capture PeeWee's expression when he was given the hornworm. I'm sure it was priceless.

You gals are so lucky (maybe) that your babies don't have any digestive issues with hornworms. All of mine (for exception of the baby, of course) would get diarrhea after eating only one!

I am improving minute by minute!! Super happy to have my energy back!
All of the babies are going crazy for horn worms, all of them except for the 2 uros Doug and Daisy, ooh and the leopard Gecko Ronald. Even Walter our savannah monitor is obsessed with them! They all know the cup when they see it, Sunny almost bit me out of excitement. I made her calm down before I gave her any, I told her she has to eat like a lady  !! So far so good too, everyone has pooped since they've tried them and no diarrhea. I'm working on those pictures of Pees eating his horn worms, Gina I so wish I could have got a video of his first reaction. I wasn't expecting him to do that, he's so laid back he normally just goes with the flow. From now on any time he tries a new feeder all cameras will be on him!!

Rubio and Didi didn't have the runs either, so they get their next treat at Xmas when I get my bonus. They'll be in beardie heaven, if they're awake that is. Might have to put some $ away and wait until the spring.

Good Afternoon all!! I am in great spirits today, it is sooo good to be home. For the last 11 days Jeffrey and I were fortunate enough to spend almost two weeks in paradise. His parents took us on a dream vacation to Maui!!! I experienced things I may never get to do again and I had the time of my life. I swam in the open ocean with a wild sea turtle and her pod, I just happen to be in the right place at the right time. It was my very first time snorkeling, it was so I could practice and get used to breathing without panicking before our big snorkeling excursion tour we pre paid for, a five hour trip. We decided to practice in the ocean on the beach in front of the hotel we were staying at for our first few days. I was so scared, but once I got in and got the hang of it Jeffrey couldn't get me out of the water for anything. About an hour in to it Jeffrey signaled me to look to my left while we were passing over a coral reef. To my surprise the biggest sea turtle I've ever seen was swimming right towards me! I decided to tag along and see where she was headed. I was swimming so close to her I actually skimmed her flipper a few times!! As we came around a slight curve ahead in the reef we came up on a giant pod of sea turtles eating lunch!!! It was the coolest thing I had ever seen up until the next day when we went on our snorkeling tour!! On the tour we were taken by sail boat to the island of Molakini which is a bird and fish preserve. The boat ties up to a floating anchor in the middle of the ocean a good swim away from the island. As I was about to jump off the boat in to the open ocean two of the biggest most colorful fish I'd ever seen swam right underneath me  It took all my courage to jump in and go for it. It took us almost 35min to swim to the reef, the current was so strong. As we were swimming to the reef we saw so many amazing species of marine life. Things I've only seen on National Geographic programs, I even encountered a 4-5ft reef shark  For whatever reason I didn't freak out over it, I was just so fascinated by it's beauty. Then we finally made it to the reef, OMG is the best way I can describe my reaction. I saw eels, sea urchin, an octopus, beautifully colored fish of all shapes and sizes. We saw this weird looking fish that seem to have an electric charge..it was weird and wild looking  I have always been afraid of the ocean, but after this trip all I want to do is go back in and play all day!! I am soooo incredibly sun tanned and burned, it looks funny. The sun is so powerful there, even reapplying sun tan lotion alll day long won't save you from being destroyed by the sun. Oh we kept finding all sorts of awesome wild lizards too. Lizards and geckos I've never seen before, we had the best 11 days ever!!!
Even with all the fun and activities to keep busy by day 5 I was so homesick and missing my scaley children. Thankfully Michelle, aka Dooter, from this forum was amazing enough to baby sit all of our babies. They all love Auntie Michelle, especially PeeWee. He gets sooo excited when she comes to visit. Michelle's daughter drew a picture of PeeWee after holding him and falling in love with him, so we hung it on the front of his enclosure!!
Well I have soooo much more to write about and describe I will be back later with pictures and stories!!

I hate you! (just kidding, of course)

Wow, Kaleen, sounds like you went on the vacation of a lifetime! I am so jealous right now.
Did you guys take any pictures while snorkeling? I have wonderful mental images of the descriptions you gave, but actually seeing what you saw would probably blow those images out of this world.

I had gone snorkeling once and only once, and I had the best time ever. Can't remember where it was (my first honeymoon in St. Lucia), but the water was crystal clear and no waves at all. I saw a small school of beautifully colored fish and started to follow it, not realizing that I had swam out too far for my then husband's liking (because I can't swim and he was afraid that I'd panic and drown). If I ever get the chance, I'd go snorkeling again, in a heart beat.

Can you post a pic of the drawing that Michelle's daughter drew of PeeWee? I'm sure it's adorable.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
