That's wonderful that she ate some salad.
Give her a couple of days :wink: nibbling at her salad might trigger her appetite for buggies. :wink: I wouldn't force the bugs on her either. Drops of babyfood seems so much less invasive.

BTW....Just incase I get busy and don't make it back before Thursday....

Awwww...she really doesn't look bad at all! Her fat pads are all nice and plump and she's got chubby little legs.

If it were me, I wouldn't force her to eat at all. She is obviously not about to starve, so her "mental" issues are more of a worry than her eating issues. I think I would stick my hands in the cage every day to change out the food and clean etc, but not bother her other than that, except to peek in on her a few times a day from a distance, and to get her out for the necessary bath every few days. Get something like phoenix worms or supers that you can just leave in a bowl for her all day, along with veggies of course. I think she'll soon realize that she is not being dominated anymore, and once she realizes that, she'll start eating on her own. I think force feeding her would only exacerbate the situation.

I've had a shy rescue, but thankfully all my rescues came to me with good appetites, so I'm just stating from instinct, not experience.

Rayne is eating her salads and supers like a champ now, but not while anyone is watching! She still freaks out when the room is entered and tries to hide, and she still won't touch the dubias. It's a damn good thing the Tulsa show is the 11th and 12th cause she is eating me out of supers!

She seems to love snuggling into my neck and falling asleep. She seems to enjoy her bath time but for the most part just takes a drink and sits there. She willingly let me make a leash for her (the trying on process as well) and doesn't seem to mind it being on.

She is still a little jumpy around my husband and kids, but is coming around better to my daughter.

I'm hoping to take some pics of her and get them posted soon.

That's really great! I figured she would eat when left unbothered. If she only ever trusts one human in this world, don't you feel privileged to be that one! :love5:

Privileged? Yes and no, I'm still trying to convince my hubby that we need to keep her. And he keeps saying eventually she will be ready for a new home.
