I am wondering if you all could give me some tips to get Nemesis to eat more veggies. I give him collard greens everyday and occasionally mix in some butternut squash or apples. I'd say 80-85% of the time, he eats none of it. There will be a rare day when I'll come home and his salad will be gone. He eats everything else without any problems, crickets, phoenix worms, wax worms, reptiworms, superworms etc, he's growing just fine, his weight is where it should be, he's 9 months old, I just don't want him to end up with some kind of deficiency down the road. Yesterday i bought some butternut squash baby food and if I put it on my finger he will eat it. Is this my only option or are there "tricks"? Any and all suggestions are welcome

Joga 'picks' at her salad every morning. Last week I gave her a few pieces of mango in her salad and she went crazy for it. It also made her poo a little looser than normal so not good as an everyday thing I guess...I also drop worms and roaches in her salad to get her to go down and check out her bowl. I changed from collard greens to chard and she seemed to like those better. Yesterday we tried mustard greens and she seemed to like those. I'd keep switching it up until you dial in what gets her attention?

Try the method the previous poster mentioned, put her live, wiggly food in with the greens. Also, try turnip and mustard greens, my dragons love them....dandelion greens, too. More nutrients than squash. Your beardie should start eating once you get some that it likes, with the bugs mixed in.

I chop up canned crickets in with the salad and she seems to like it. I also feed her live food as well but this has got her interested in it. I also have tried different greens my girl like mustard greens.

I wouldn't worry too much, Mine are all 1 years plus and still don't touch theres....
He is still growing so giving him as much as he wants is good :)
I agree putting worms etc in the veg is a great way to entice them :) x

perhaps try to feed veggies by hand or move it around a bit in front of your dragons eyes.
Mine is really lazy sometimes and is really 0% interested unless I move it in front of her eyes and wiggle it haha :D

Another suggestion is prickly pear, it is my dragons favorite without a doubt.
I have heard that colors make them happy and to change it every day is also a good idea.
best of luck!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
