Rainy Day Blues

Hello all!

Well, it's a dreary, rainy day here in PA. I woke up an hour later than usual.. And I still feel like taking a nap!

Ever notice your diurnal reptiles feeling the same? My 2 beardies, rankin, and uromastyx all seem a bit sleepy :sleepy2: Temperatures and lighting in their enclosures have not changed, but I guess there is less ambient light in the apartment. We have big windows!

I've noticed the weather outside really has an impact on their activity levels. On a bright, hot, sunny day they're a bunch of nuts!

Anyone else experience this?

We have the rain also in NW Ohio. I definitely know what you mean about the ambient light changes. Joanna seems to have less energy on days when I do. On the bright sunny mornings she walks back and forth in the cage as if to say "Hey man! What are we up to today?!"

Yup same here, in Pa it's raining and everything but me and the stupid fish is asleep :lol: and its 12:14 pm

It's a dreary rainy day in Delaware too :? Kora seems a bit lazier than normal, but that's probably because it was storming ALL night and I found her awake in her cage walking around at 1am. I took her out and let her fall asleep on my stomach and then put her back in her cage. I guess she's not a fan of big storms!

Raining out here on the West Coast too. Mine are apparently oddballs, everyone's up and basking. But it's WA, if they slept when it rained I'd never see them, lol

I'm kind of jealous. Here in So. Calif. we don't even know the meaning of the word "rain." I would love to have a good stormy, rainy day for a change.

yeah well , i'm in south florida , it's storming here right now with thunder. as a matter of fact it's been pretty much raining every day since the middle of may, may not rain all day , but every day !
