Hey all:
I am about to order some heat panels from Pro-Products for some snakes.
I am also about to make a custom enclosure for our Bearded (styrofoam background and all).
My question is, has anyone ever used RHP for beardeds before? And if yes, did they reach the desired temps?
RHP are way more energy efficient than a 100w bulb which is why I am looking into for the bearded as well.

I would have an elevated ledge under the RHP to allow for a basking spot.
Let me know.
Thanks,

I guess not then?
I don't see why it couldn't be used, though.
Bob Pound from Pro-Products has tested them with just about every reptile.
Green tree python keepers swear by them, so, why not?

Beardies need to have the heat coming from a light for proper basking. However this could be used as a replacment for a CHE at night assuming it doesn't give off any light.

Because thats what has been proven to be needed after decades of experience with multiple people. Beardies need to be able to see the light for basking. They go into the light for basking.

Plus, wouldn't the panel heat the whole tank? Instead of just one spot for basking like a light would?

Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
