Respiratory infection prognosis

I took my 7 yr old bearded dragon to the ER last night, she got an xray that they said was clear and blood work that they said looked good besides elevated white blood cell count. Upon exam they diagnosed her with an RI and somatitis, a mouth infection. They rx ciproflaxin .05 ml every 48 hours, and a gel to apply to her mouth, and critical care for nutrients. Does this seem like a good treatment?

Thank you for tagging her, I dont have a copy of it, but I can call the office on Monday that did it (they transfered her from the ER to another office to do the testing) and ask them to email it to me, and I can post it after I receive it, thank u for any feedback

Hello,

That seems like a pretty routine treatment plan &
conservative dosing. The Ciproflaxin will treat a bacterial infection & is often used in respiratory tract infections.
I can check the dose for you if you would like. I
just need the strength/percentage of the solution
& your dragon's weight.
I definitely recommend keeping her well hydrated because antibiotics are notorious for dehydrating them. You could also get some probiotics such as
non dairy acidophilus or non dairy organic soy yogurt to help replenish the gut flora.
If you can, keep her a little warmer overnight to help boost her system right now.

She has finished her course of antibiotics, but she's still gulping and mucus-y, she has another appointment tomorrow. She's not too much better than when she started unfortunately. I'm assuming she'll need another round of antibiotics. I've read other threads on here where nebulizers help, can you assist on how I would admister that medication, and where I could get it from?

Like for instance, on one thread i read that tylan 50 works? How much water per medicine would I add?

Yes, nebulizers are very effective. You can look on
Amazon or Ebay for one or your vet might be able to
get one for you.
Which medication were you planning on using for the
nebulization treatments? I can help with the amount of
medication to be added in with the saline solution.
Are you keeping him a little warmer overnight to help
boost his system?

Okay so at my last appointment they actually had nebulizer medication I thought I'd have to get some myself. She also started her on fortaz shots....she was seeming okay until I did the nebulizer trearment... It's f10. After two days of using the nebulizer she has been jet black and struggling even more t breathe. Is this normal? I stopped the nebulizer I'm hopping if it damaged something it can heal? Ugh she seems to be suffering and I don't know what to do

Hello,

Nebulizing is very good. I haven't ever used F10 for nebulization. If her beard is black, I definitely
wouldn't use that right now. It is possible that the combination of Fortaz & the F10 didn't mix well.
How bad is her breathing, is she wheezing or coughing?
For now, try to keep her warm at night, to help
boost her system.
Has she eaten anything at all?

Okay thank you..right now she has been gasping for air, gaping pretty frequently and her sides don't seem to go in or out at all when she tries to breathe, no real noises at all, used to hear the mucus and now there's no noise. There does seem to be alot less mucus so Idk why it's getting harder for her I'm worried I messed up giving the f10
I will keep her warm at night
And she has been eating only about 1 syringe of a smoothie (silk worms, collard greens, and blueberries) daily (not always the whole syringe). And her critical care mixture,.usually 2-6 syringes of that water+critical care a day but that is all

please lay off the blueberries they have a lot of sugar and should only be fed occasionally

Are you going slowly when feeding the slurries so that she doesn't aspirate any fluids?
