Quick question..

I have a male beardie and he is 15 inches at 5 months. Is he doing good? Im really hoping he will become monsterly huge or at least as long as my arm Which he is half way there. 24 inches is the size I really want him to be. Also when can you tell if you have a german giant because he is supposed to come from 2 german giants.

I can't tell you how big he will be. He certainly seems a good size for his age.

My male comes from german giants and is only 18" long at 3yrs. So just goes to show it all has to do with the individual. (of course he also got a slow start from improper care)

it is doubtful that your beardie will hit 24 inches very few americanized beardies ever do.
15 inches at 5 months is a great size though

when u say ameracanized do mean non australian? Do only wild ones get that big?

pretty much yes because the genetics here in the states have been so watered down due to inbreeding and improper practices.
some do but its few and far between

I have a 3 year old female that is 20" with a 4-6" inch tail nip. She has german giant in her. She weighs 890 grams and doesn't have excessive fat on her either. I also know a couple of people that have 24-25" german giants.

I dunno 15" at 5 months isn't bad, my male fully grown is only just over 15 in. long. (he has a small tail nip.) my female is about the same size though, 15 1/2 in. and she's fully grown. so I'd say that if you feed him right you could end up with a large dragon. oh, and from what I've read, dragons in the wild rarely make 18 inches, and don't live very long either.

Cs what did you feed yours. HOnestly I dont even give mine veggies hardly and he still is growing like a weed and he eats crickets crickets nad more crickets nad thats pretty much it. I give him veggies only if I run out of crickets. I know its bad. I have to become more serious with him. I also sometimes dont give him a bath just because im lazy. I must stop this and then maybe he will become huge.

When speaking of a true German Giant you are talking about a vitticeps that has been crossed with a barbata generations back. this is where the size of german giants come from. Some times you find a GG that the bloodline is still stron in and you end up with a 24-26 inch dragon but this is not the norm. Most vitticeps get between 18-22 inches. The barbata can grow up to 3feet in length (but those are only in australia)
I hope this was mildly informative. Anything is possible but the percentage of dragons in the states that are 24-26 inches is very low.

All right then thanks. Im almost sure he is not going to be a enormous dragon now. But its okay because I was planining on getting a black and white argentine tegu in a year or two. I have to tame it tho or it will chomp my fingers off with a barrel roll

Argentinian black and whites are awesome lizards and they are not very hard to tame. now if you get an argentinian red on the other hand they are difficult and tempermental at time. i had a black and white tegu few years back until the landlord found out i had a 5 ft lizard living in the house loose. she was not too happy bout that and forced me to get rid of it even though i paid the pet deposit. Somehow she was able to say that my tegu was a dangerous animal and was therefore in void of my pet contract. fun stuff.

I want him to be big because i like big pets and animals I suppose. For example do you like mice or little wild lizards or anything else tiny? Heck no we all want to have something adventerous and somewhat wild in our homes.

That sucks man. Why did she even see it, how did she know? If I were you Id would have hid it. Then put a towel over the cage and say im getting some fish soon if she asked. How much in total did you spend on him throughhout his life? I would have moved or sued.
