Wax worms are a hit or miss with bearded dragons and in general should not be feed as a staple. They have no nutritional value - it's like if we were to live off cakes and cookies. Delicious, but so not good for us. And, if it is a hit with bearded dragons, they can become addicting and they'll refuse anything else.

Suggested live feeders: crickets, dubia roaches, hornworms, phoenix/calci/repti worms, silk worms, and superworms. Superworms should not be fed to your dragon unless your dragon is 16" long. Some get the really small supers and start earlier than that.

Baby hornworms if you can afford it are great. They have some of the best nutritional value out there, so do baby silks. You can get a good deal for them with Linda's Gone Buggy and you can also e-mail her to ask how much to feed your baby.

Phoenix worms are also great, high in calcium so all you have to do is dust them 2x a week with vitamins, no calcium necessary.

You can also get baby crickets from your local pet store. Or buy dubia roach nymphs, healthier than crickets, easier to take care of, and they don't stink or jump around.

Babies eat a lot, the most filling might be the hornworms and dubia. Good luck :D

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
