question about butter worms

I just bought some butterworms fof my little guy...hes 11 1/2 inches space between his eyes is about 3/8 inch...i got the butter worms and they are pretty big...about an inch or more for some....is it ok to give to him???? I gave him one of the smaller ones and he loved them!! And other question...wax worms where do i keep them fridge or room temp?? I know not to give him many wax. Thanks!

You are probably ok with that size butter worm- they are soft, no impaction risk. Keep waxworms in fridge

Just a side note, apparently my fridge is way too cold for wax worms b/c I put a container of about 30 in there and they all died overnight. I have since been advised that they're best kept at a minimum of 40+ degrees, which can be easily accomplished by choosing the "warmer" parts of your fridge to store them (like the door part). I've found that the little butter compartment is perfect temp for wax worms in my fridge. Even better, I just got a used piece of junk mini fridge for free that I can use just for dragon food which I can keep at any temp I want!
