Hi, I think I finally have my own name. My new family calls me "Quasi", for Quasimoto in a story about a Hunchback of Notre Dame. I have a hunched back like that, and my spine is all curvy too. That's ok, I get around ok...
I lived with some other people for awhile, I've lost track of time so I am not sure how old I am or how long I was there. I just know that I kept feeling yuckier day by day. I was the little guy, so my 3 tankmates ate most of the food. I only got a little. Then one day, instead of feeding us, they put us in a box and dropped us off on the doorstep of a petshop in our town. I heard those humans saying something like "if you don't take them, they'll be let loose". Not sure what that meant, but I think they were talking about me & my 3 cagemates.
They are somewhere else now, I finally have my own food dish. And my own tank. And lights that make me feel really good, like I was outside on a warm sunny day. And these new people are giving me all sorts of yummy food, its different every time. And it keeps coming, I empty my bowl and they fill it back up again. Not sure what I did to deserve that, maybe they think I'm cute or something.
This new place is really interesting, I have new "brothers and sisters", but we each have our own room, so I don't get beatup anymore. Sigh, that's such a relief. I had to hide in the corner before, so that helped my spine become all curvy like an "s". It's so nice to not have to do that anymore.
Anyway, here's me ... I'll let you know how this new home works out. So far, so good, they are gentle and seem to really care about me. Oh yeah, they stuck me in this big white thing with warm wet stuff in it. What's up with that? I tried to get away from all that wet stuff, but it kept flying all over everytime I moved. It only got me wetter. Geesh, I don't like that stuff all over me! But it sure tasted good!
My new mom says I have something called MBD - I think she is talking about how my mouth is messed up. I think it gives me character, I can still eat ok, but I bite my tongue sometimes. Maybe that will get a little better one day. The lady at the petshop kept spraying that wet stuff right in my face, so I am breathing a little funny right now, but mom says she can fix that too. She helped me get a big boogie out of my nose earlier tonight, so I can breathe so much better for bed tonight.
Oh, my gosh! She even gave me the softest snuggliest fuzzywuzzy to lay on. Ooohhh, it feels good to snuggle with that. I like it when mom and dad hold me, too. Their hands are nice and warm, so I plop down in their hand. They smile when I do that!
I met Xena, my new sis. She's huge! She scared me at first, but I think she realized how little I was, so she left me alone. I only weigh 96 grams, and I'm only 12 inches long. My brothers and sis are all over 20 inches long, so I got some catchin' up to do! I can't wait to meet my two brothers, Crash & Psycho, but mom says I have to wait a little while for that. More later, I gotta get some sleep.
