Pupils not retracting /responding to different types of ligh

Help. I'm not sure if it is normal for a dragon to go through a period where his/her eyes don't respond that well to light. Our girl is doing well, has been gaining weight and responding well to calcionate supplements and Ponazuril (for stubborn coccidia), but I noticed this morning that her pupils don't seem to respond to light. (the lighting in the cage is a brand new REptisun 10.0 for UVB and 100 watt incandescent bulb for heat). Other than the pupil issue, she is doing well--her eyes track me when I'm in the room, she ate a giant hornworm for breakfast, and she is basking like a good girl.

Is this something to be majorly worried about? Our big girl's eyes retract and respond to both light and my finger (when I bring it closer), so I got worried.

It's possible she just isn't looking at you. Lethargy is a side effect of your bug meds.

Thanks Vacren....They seemed to retract when she looked at the worm, so that's good.

Hello,

Sometimes medications can cause sensitivity to light even in reptiles. How close is the Reptisun 10 tube to her & is it placed directly beside the bright basking light as well?

Thanks for your responses all. The Reptisun bulb is about 6-8 inches from the highest part of her basking spot. The incandescent bulb is more like 5-6 from the highest spot.

Salso is basking fine, and doesn't look or seem lethargic, but her pupils aren't responding as much or as quickly as the big girl's eyes (Electra's) do. Can this be a side-effect of Ponazuril? Salsa's been taking it for 2 weeks straight and the vet wants us to continue to the end of the month. She just got her first "all clear" fecal in more than 6 months! No more coccidia. Best Valentine's Day present ever-- Hallelujah. But the vet is worried that if we don't finish all the meds, the coccidia might come back.

I worry that this might be a side effect. She's eating and pooping pretty regularly, so if it is a side effect it's the only one.
