Pumpkin?

I think my rescue beardie, Prince, is brumating because he just hides under his basking spot but will come out to eat if I give him worms and then he eats some greens and then goes back into his hiding spot. The only reason I'm worried is because he hasn't pooped in like three weeks. Is this normal when they are brumating? I was told before that I could give a beardie 100% canned pumpkin to help them go to the bathroom. But I actually have real pumpkin that isn't canned that I froze in ice cube trays but I don't know if I should warm it up or let it thaw to room temperature? Any suggestions??

I would thaw it to room temp or you could do a little apple sauce with a couple drops of vegetable oil in it. If he is eating then he should not be allowed to go into his hide all day because they need the heat to digest his food. If he hasn't pooped he may have undigested food in his digestive tract which could be rotting inside of him. What are your temps and can you try taking the hid out during the day?

Well he only eats if I take him out of his hide, so if he's brumating should I just let him be and not take him out at all? He is being so grouchy and bearding at me when I do take him out but he has no problem with eating. I heated the pumpkin up in the microwave for a minute but took it out and stirred it every 15 seconds, and he and my other beardie, Elvis loved it. When I put him back in his tank he sat on his basking spot for a while.

Oh and I forgot to add that his temps on his basking spot are at 95 degrees and I measure with a digital probe thermometer.
