Puffy neck all day long

My beardie had a puffy neck all day long. He was not showing his beard it was just puffy! I was wondering if anyone knew what this meant or their beardie has done the same thing. I took him out today and he was acting normal in and out of viv. He was also very active. Actually, my husband told me that this morning he looked like he wanted out of the viv. he says that beardie was attacking the glass and he attacked a cactus that we have in his viv. I had to take the cactus out because he knocked it down and all the soil came out and he also plucked some of the cactus leaves off the plant. I don't know what his problem with the plant was today...we've had it in his viv for like a month already. Oh and he didn't eat any of it either just demolished it. By the time I woke up he was nice and calm and watching tv from his viv. When my husband told me how it looked like he wanted out I took him out. I have a 20gal tank and I am starting to think he might already feel a little cramped in there. He is about 10 1/2 inches long but he loves to run around all over the place. My daughter laughed when I said he might have claustrophobia. She said she had never heard of a lizard having claustrophobia...she kind of talked to me like I was an ***** for thinking that! I hear that the day before he did the same thing in the morning. So in orther words he likes to act crazy in the morning when he first gets up!

My little guy is about the same size, and recently I realized his neck has been a little puffy too. I'm just guessing that it's part of his growth and it's been stretching since he puffs his beard out a lot. Is his neck still puffy like that? My beardie is also very destructive :lol: . Sometimes he also tips over some of the fake plants I have for him, or he picks up some food and drops it on another side of the tank, therefore causing a mess! But, you gotta love em :wink:

Mine still has a puffy neck but now it's not all day long...just once in a while. Samson loves to make a mess. Today I gave him butternut squash in puree form and he jumped into his bowl and I had to take him out and clean his foot because it was all full of puree. I love him so much though I noticed that his neck gets puffy more after he eats! I guess as long as he is going poo and eating well I won't worry too much!

Lisa what type of UVB do you have what are the temps and how are you measuring them? Also can you take a picture? Do you hear any sounds at all?
