Puff and friends

So it's been a few months since Puff has come into my life. Within this time I have also added two new beardies to the fam.
Puff has been placed in a 40 breeder with no top. It has a clamp lamp with her basking light (used a brooder light for both the babies and for her) and inside the tanks I attached a regular "under cabinet" fixture with industrial strength Velcro to hold their reptisun 10.0 UVB.
The two babies, Ozzie and Harriet are in Puffs old tank for now, until they get bigger and I upgrade them as well.
They also now have tile flooring instead of the newspaper I was using.
But here's the thing.. Puff keeps banging. And banging. And trying to move the tiles. Idk what to do. My downstairs neighbors already complained once. They always complain about EVERYTHING. (Their animals are "petrified" of the banging. Well if they weren't such spazzes, their animals wouldn't pick up their vibes and act that way.. Anywho) so idk how to make her stop banging. It's not about food cus she does it all the time. The temps right. She gets weekly baths. She's on a proper diet now. Idk. It didnt start until about a week after I switched, but she did used to dig at the newspaper, but it really didnt make much noise. Now this all echoes and even wakes me up in the other room. Everyone's lights are on timers. Idk.
So I take her out. And she hangs out. It could be that, but I really can't have her doing it when I'm not here and disturbing the neighbors.
Any ideas?
Oh and also I've uploaded pics to photobucket but I forgot how to post on here. I want to show my babies off :)

Oh, and thanks for all the info.. I did majority of the research, but there's also so much to learn and I'm completely new at reptiles. It's a learning experience and it's great to have a website like this with people that know and care about these creatures that are willing to share their knowledge.
I'll try the juice trick tomorrow, see if that helps.
In the meantime I'll just jack up the heat in the house, it's wicked cold out anyways.

Actually, we are all still learning, they are such amazing creatures. I have had beardies for over 12 yrs and sometimes I am so surprised as to what they pick up on and are "in-tune to."

We are all eager to help others.

Let us know how the juice goes, hope she likes it.

I wondered if the basking temp was actually too low. What size is the tank and what wattage heat bulb(s) are you using? Be sure to wait at least 45 min to an hr before getting the final readings.

One more thing, make sure you put the oil on at night so that there isn't the chance of their skin being burned under the heat lights, ok?

I don't remember the actual basking temp, but it was def too low. Not even in the 90s.
I'm using just a regular clamp lamp with brooder light. And of course an 18in reptisun mounted inside the tank within 6 inches of the basking site.
Same with the babies, except they have a second lamp, and the lamps are sitting on the screen top. Puff doesn't have a screen top.
Tomorrow after work I'm gonna pick up another clamp lamp and brooder bulb for puffs tank, and increase the wattage of the second bulb on the babies cus it could be a bit warmer but not too much. They have just a reg 60watt bulb in the second one.
Puff is in a 40breeder.
The babies tank is 4ftx1foot.

I just did a google search and it says a good bulb would be a halogen flood.
I'm going to experiment with those and clamp lamps tomorrow to see if I can get proper temps.

Good luck with your lighting experiments. Believe me, I know how difficult it can be to get the temps right. Not sure how old Puff is but try to get it at least 100. My almost 2 yr old likes it at 102. The older they are, the less heat they like but keep in mind that they need a minimum of 95 in order to be able to digest their food & to prevent impaction.

Halogens throw out a lot of heat so keep that in mind. Let me know how you make out.

So just picked up a 2 pack of halogen 75 flood bulbs and a second clamp lamp.
Both tanks each have one and the brooder bulbs.
Waiting for them to come to temp and then doing readings. Currently the probe is on one of the babies basking spots.
And last night I found out that the temps are supposed to be in the 100s.. For some reason I thought they were supposed to be in the 90s..
And I forgot the fruit juice, but I have to run out and do some grocery shopping so I'll pick some up then.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
