Oh that's good, based on the picture it definitely isn't a prolapse at all. How is she doing
today? Sometimes when you hold them the muscle around the tissues loosen up some &
the vent can get relaxed & look like it is protruding some.
I'm glad she is alright now.
Are you using a good UVB light over her?
The vent is no longer protruding when I hold her.
What should I be feeding her
& It should retract back in more right?
I don't want to feed her & have it come back out while she's trying to poop
Thanks
Well she's not eating right now I offered hornworms
It does protrude a little when I hold her not as much as yesterday
Is her appetite going to come back
Best to not offer any food for 4-5 days. That gives her time to recupe from straining to poo. She may not eat for a while but that will not hurt a large dragon and if she's a bit tubby it's not a problem at all. Just be patient.
How is your girl doing?
Are you still giving softer foods for awhile?
That's great news she has improved though & hasn't relapsed any. It sounds like she's
quite a bit better now.
Yeah she's alot better
She's taking bugs now, I didn't feed too many.
Do you think it would hurt to start feeding bugs again?
Again, I'm not feeding too many.
Yeah I noticed her vent protrudes a little but it's getting better.
Only when I hold her
I might not offer food for awhile, maybe she needs to lose weight.
So I might give her a slurry maybe in a few days
