Not all of us breeders run mills. I rescue and rehome on a regular basis. But I do know what you mean about breeding mills.

I didn't mean to offend you, it was a general statement that I should have expounded on...........At the reptile expo's I have noticed that some breeders are only concerned about the money and show no care or concern for their dragons, so hopefully thats the exception and not the rule..........I'm glad to hear that you rescue and rehome, kudo's!

Just a little update:

The 2 beardies are doing well, renamed: Stella and Citrus..................

Stella still has that large piece of her top lip missing but shows no signs of it bothering her. She is very happy with her new owners, both hubby and mommy race home from work to see who can hold her first, it's so nice to see how folks get transformed in their thought of a "scaly reptile" to a cuddle bug. (no one would ever believe it, unless they experienced it themselves) She is eating, pooping, cuddled and happy, what more could you ask for?

Citrus, finally had her first bm this week-end...........was starting to get concerned, but had a large amount which appeared normal, whew! She is loving her salad and protein, very active, and is such a hit with the 4 children, although the owner is the oldest boy who instructs who can hold her or not. Very cute to hear about.

So everyone is happy, which brings a delightful "warm fuzzy" feeling to me to know they are well taken care of, and I will continue to be available to them for support, if needed.

Hi folks,

Stella and Citrus are doing well, and now another person at work may want a beardie............found a beauty who is unable to stay with his owners, but it's still under discussion with the possible new family members, the beardie planner strikes again. :laughing6: Will keep you posted.

Hi guys,
So I'm waiting to see if 1 or the other will get this new red/orange beardie, as stated prior................. but I wanted to show a poem that was written by the 9 yr. old owner of "Citrus", in it's original form:

Isn't that just precious, especially the last line "then I felt a connection" (also, the word scwirm is suppose to be squirm). Such a poet and really shows his love for his new beardie. It proves that no matter what age you are, beardies just win you over, and make young and old beardie slaves. (the 9 yr. old "dad" was my first baby in the nursery at work.... soon to be 10) The whole family is wild about "Citrus" and it makes me very happy to know she is in a good home and well taken care of.

That is soooo coool ! My human boys would KILL me if I took in one more.... lol I guess 3 young adult/juvies and 5 geckos,( yes I still want more !) is the limit with them ! Oh well... Maybe someone will win the lottery and help out the cause !

Thanks Jiffy and Janie........what we all could do with the lottery win, mmmmmmmmmmmmm, (even though I don't play) it's fun thinking about it. I'd like to fly everyone out to one place with their beardies, and have a huge beardie convention. :laughing6:
