Okay so I caved. As of today I am the new momma to a beautiful 6" red phase BD.
I purchased her from a reptile store that had just gotten back from the San Diego convention. They had several different morphs, but the two that caught my eye were the Red and some German Giant x Red. I originally went in looking for a male, but after the guy sexed my top three picks, all were female.
I had no idea that BD's ever started off this small! Well I did, but I have never had one this little. When I cut up her collards and put them in her tank each cut piece was bigger than her head. So, I pulled the collards out and diced them. So I brought home some TINY crickets and of course they climbed our one of the holes on my cricket tank.... CRICKETS everywhere! My cat had a time eating them all.
I am going to attempt to raise this baby on Phoenix worms as a staple. I bought 500 smalls and mediums, so my bigger guy can have some too.
Presenting Miss Eve of Destruction (Yes... My husband chose her name within minutes of seeing her... While it took us one whole month to name our 2 y/o Samurai Jack.)
and one of Samurai Jack
