prepackaged salads in indiana

I was forced to buy prepackaged salads from our local marsh supermarket. I don't have a car and my bike had a flat tire so i had to walk to the nearest store a half mile away to buy greens. I picked up the freshest bags they had full of stuff they can have except i picked out the lettuce and spinach. My uromastyx and bearded dragon are so spoiled. Except the salads are going bad so quickly. Does anyone recommend prepackaged salads? or should i have just fed them what i had on hand and waited for a ride to pick up fresher greens? i had green beans, carrots, butternut squash (expensive around here) and snow peas.

I'd avoid the carrots but the beans and squash are fine. I avoid the bagged salads because as you said they tend to go bad quickly. I pick up fresh veges every week and store them in the fridge in a mesh bag. They keep for most of the week and leftovers go to the bugs.
