Poster board?

I was wondering if I can use poster boards as a substrate? I only ask because I want to have the bottom of my beardies tank a certain color.

Well if he will be slipping and sliding, I'd say no. If not, then I think poster board would work fine, just make sure it isn't too thin to where he might rip some off over and over for a snack. If you use it make sure it is nice and thick. Try to invest in some nice tile at Wal-mart or a Home Depot nearest you. Tile is easy to clean, warms up nice, keeps your beardie's nails smooth, and looks GREAT!

Just do some measurements and make them into equal squares for the bottom. Go to home depot or your local hardware shop and go check out all the tiles. You want a tile that has some grip to it and a little roughness so that your beardie won't slip 'n slide. Slate will work most likely.

I just bought tile for my viv today (36×18×18) and I spent $15.

I just got three 12x12 and six 6x6 tiles. There is a slight overlap, but it just looks like stacked tiles in back, not bad at all.

You could just get 24 6x6 tiles and you wouldn't need to have anything cut.
