Possible Shed problem and grumpy all the time

Ive had my beardy Mushu for about 3 months but i noticed that his shoulder is having the hardest time shedding. Very dry cracked white skin. Also seems to be getting spots raised up like its been layering on top. Started to yellow in color ( but he does have alot of orange color on him could that just be his natural colors ? ) ive been useing a shedding aid on him seems to help a bit also been trying to give him baths...

But there is a kicker.. hes always super grumpy. ever since i brought him home for the first time he hiss' at me whenever i touch him Ive tried hand feeding him which he takes... but whenever it comes to me petting him or haveing to take him out he wants nothing to do with it. Just hiss' or trys to bite me. Anyone had a dragon like mine ? idk what else to try .. i want to help get the shed off by batheing him and what not but i dont want to stress the poor guy out ..

Any tips or tricks would be apperciated.

It does sound like a rough shed. Can you post some photos of him and the cracked area? You can upload photos here https://www.beardeddragon.org/useruploads/ and post them to your thread using the XIMG button.

Baths can help and in some cases applying some plain aloe to the area may help the skin. I'd like to take a look though in order to help rule out any other skin issues that may be causing a problem.

This is the shoulder colors dont look as bright in person as they do in the photo. i tried to get a better one but he wont let me pick him up.

That does look like a pretty thick shed. Has the thick area appeared to be spreading or has it been in the same spot? If you have an experienced reptile vet in the area, it probably wouldn't hurt to have a skin sample tested for an infection but if the area isn't spreading or getting worse then it's likely just a thick stubborn shed which happens now and then.

Yeah it hasnt spread. its just been in the same area
