Possible impaction

I was afraid of this happening because Swordtail has sand as his substrate and I did order a new substrate (Non adhesive shelf liner) but Swordtail hasn't pooped in a few days and I would like to know some symptoms of impaction so I can tell if he is impacted

How old is he? Are you feeding him on the sand? You can feed him some baby food pumpkin w/ a drop of olive oil feed till he poops

I feed him with tweezers and he eats the food off the tweezers
Also his 1st hatchday is in 3 days

It's pretty common for poops to be less frequent as the get older. I would try Karrieree's recommendations and maybe a luke warm bath.

Well he just went to sleep since it was his bedtime about 10 minutes ago so I will try that tomorrow

Update: I gave him a warm bath and was massaging him and he pooed!

A true impaction is extremely rare. Increasingly with age. Your dragon wasn't impacted. Like XP mentioned, as they age, their bowel movements will become less frequent. Don't expect daily poos anymore once their growing slows and stops.

Phew, I am just alot more paranoid with Swordtail after what happened with Hawthorn
