Possible brumation?

Hey guys,

So I have been dealing with bouts of decreased appetite, lethargy, stress etc since I took home by little guy back in February. Initially I was undertrained and made minor mistakes but now I consider myself a budding expert, so I am now at a loss as to why he does not want to eat, bask, move around or otherwise be active.

He has not eaten well in quite a while, bites here and there. He refuses roaches altogether but will eat hornworms and a bit of bsfl. I recently gave him some superworms (his favorite) as an incentive to eat, and even those only entertained him for one feeding a a hesitant second.

Yesterday and today he has hid/slept all day. Several times I have moved him back onto his basking spot so he could digest properly, but as soon as I turn around he is back in there. He hasnt lost any weight and he doesnt look skinny or anything.

Basking temps 100-104~ (clear bulb)
warm side 90-92~
cool side 74-80
paper towel substrate
Lighting: Reptisun t5 HO

8-10 months old (petco dragon)
416~ grams
19 inches long

Any insight would be amazing! Thanks guys!

Maturing and becoming more lazy and laid back .... is normal as they move into subadulthood from juvenilehood at about that age.

Also a common problem that contributes to lethargy and a drop off in apetite is the age of the existing UV source.
Compacts and tubes typically suffer a decay in their UVA and UVB output as the phosphors decay and at about 6 months old it's usual for their UVA and UVB output to have fallen to about 1/2 to 1/3 the brandnew output and it's recommended they are replaced at this about this point.
How old is your UV globe/tube ?

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
