possable prolapse

ok so Taz is on albon, we are trying to get as much fluids and food in to him. anyway, i am giving him a bath as we speak and he keeps pushing but he already pooped. There definately is still more in him and is bulging as he pushes. his entire body is tensed up and i try to massage his belly. ok this may have been a false alarm but i am still going to post this. as i am typing my son told me he pooped again and it's all out. what do you or can you do to avoid this from happenning again?

Did you see anything red hanging out from his vent? What makes you think their might be a prolapse? If, by chance, you are talking about impaction, you can try some pumpkin or applesauce (sugar free) with a drop of olive oil.

hi Sara! yes it was red & mucus looking, as it turns out we just switched to a megaray 160w lamp, assumming it wasn't hot enough, Taz w/ some belly rubbing pooped out what looked like a miny head of lettus. Needless to say that with a flexible dest lamp and a miny 50w spot light and being able to direct the beam of light, he is up to 109.8. Hopefully problem solved. God bless Home depot!

Glad to hear. Just keep an eye on him, as prolapses (if there was one) often reoccur.
