Hullo, I have a young beardy and she's my first one, we've had her a week and have gradually been trying to get her used to beIng handled, she still runs every now and then but often let's us pick her up. However for the last 3 days everytime we've helD her she has pooped in our hands or on our arms. Normally I'd think we were just unlucky, but is she going to learn this is a good way to get back to her viv and continue with it? Or are we really just unlucky?

Well, you could always just wait until she has already poo'd to handle her.
Other than that I don't really know what else to say haha.

More than likely your dragon is nervous when she is out with you and that is causing her to want to poo. Maybe when she gets more calm the pooing on you will stop.

My 4 month old does this to me constantly, I have learned to watch for a very distinctive butt wiggle he does while rising his tail that signals I'm about to receive a smelly present. I have put baby wipes and a garbage can beside the chair I normally sit in with him and I will just hold him over the can to do his business then use the unscented baby wipes to remove any leftovers on the vent/tail :puke:

dude has pooped on me a few times, but ive learned to pick up on his tail raising and movement before hes about to do it so i can usually pick him up and hold him somewhere more acceptable. they usually pick their tail up and do a wierd thing with their back legs when theyre about to go. hes about 5 months.

I can attest to this weird motion, as my 2.5 year old was sitting on my lap she happened to stretch out her back legs and lift her tail when she poo'd on me  ...this was the first time it had happened to me, and I am new to owning beardies so don't feel bad haha it happens to all of us at some point or other! Since this has happened, I try to watch for her to poo first, after she has eaten, or pick her up before feeding to minimize this from happening.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
