Poop problems.

My poor boy hadn't pooped in about a week I didn't think much of it because he hadn't been eating much lately and I thought he could be going through brumation, today I took him outside since it was warm out and his UVB broke a couple days ago and I really have no money to buy a new one right now (I don't have a job :/) so I thought it a good opportunity for him to get some rays.

I noticed him straining to poop, I was scared he would prolapse, but he didn't thank goodness when he pooped the urates where really thick looking and he did have what seemed to be a sperm plug that I had to pull out the rest of the way after he was doing going... Could it be because I wasn't able to bathe him because I was sick, i bathed him about 3 days ago, I usually bathe him every other day, but before that I hadn't bathed him in about a week and a half.

If anyone knows what it could be that would be great,,, thank you.

This could be because of the burned out light. Which happened first? The light burning out or him not eating?

Him not eating. And two days later the light went out.

Are you just giving him crickets? If you are, try to give him some collard greens. You will also need to fix the light. What could have happened was he just wasn't hungry or didn't want his usuall meal then the light went out so then he couldn't eat. The light helps them digest there food. You might want to give him a bath as well. The cause of the not pooping is probably the light.

I feed him dubia and collard greens every day.

Well I guess try giving him something else like carrots. He could want some more variety. Try cutting it up into skinney strips with a carrot skinner. You will also want to replace the light ASAP.

I will deffinatley try carrots.

And I know, I have no money though , I get money by selling hand made stuffed animals and lizard harnesses, but no ones been buying
