Poo in the Viv locations

I'm just wondering if this is a difference between girl and guy beardies or just each beardie having their own habits and quirks. Have you all noticed gals going in one location and guys going where ever they happen to be standing when the need arises? My sample size is small considering I've had just one girl and one guy beardie, which is why I'm asking you all to reply with what you've noticed. :)

My gal beardie went in the same location each and every time in her viv. She was almost like clockwork too on the time of day.

My guy goes when ever the need hits and has pooped repeatedly on his basking branch, his hammock, his wood hide, his food bowl, his worm bowl, hot side, cool side, against the wall, out in the middle, in the shade, in the brightest areas, etc. No rhyme or reason, just anywhere really. It's driving me a bit batty because it's so much harder to keep his viv clean. I've tried getting him to go in his bath, but no such luck so far.

Thanks for reading and please reply too. :)

Funny you say that because my female will poop in the same location and my male normally goes in his water bowl lol it could just be their own thing maybe?

I have 3 males, and they are all different. The oldest rarely poops in his house but does occasionally away from his basking area. The middle one does not poop in his house at all, but will poop only outside of his house. The youngest one frequently poops on or near his salad plate which is a paper plate located in the middle of his house. I have no girls to compare but mine don't seem to poop all over the place.

My female goes wherever she feels will be the most inconvenient place for clean-up. Seriously! She usually finds a way to poo underneath her basking branch & platform, so I have to move everything to be able to clean it up. Her most recent poo-spot was my handmade quilt that I got from my grandmother. She absolutely refuses to go in the bath, I swear the day she poo'd on my quilt she was just holding it in, because it happened no more than 5 minutes after she had taken a 30 minute soak!! Gotta love those beardie personalities, huh? :D

My two fellas couldn't be more different. Richard only ever poops in the bathtub, right over the drain. He's such a sweet boy! Dubs, on the other hand, goes on whatever will be the most difficult thing to clean. Arm of the couch, burlap covered climbing box, carpeted stairs, suede chair, new sweater . . .he has a firm policy against pooping on anything lightweight or washable.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
