Redrock's basking spot is in our bedroom window. She never roams anywhere in the house, just outside. We have a window in the living room that we use to give her real sun in the morning, when it's warm enough.
Anyway, this morning I got her up and, since I had to get ready for work, I put her in her basking window. Next thing I know, she has a
black beard. She always gives us one of those when she isn't on our shoulder. She also gave me one of those looks that says "she's leaving me, again" I picked her up and put her on my shoulder and within 5 to 7 minutes, her beard was back to her happy red/black color. Remember, her basking area was in the vicinity of 104f measured with the acruite digital probe. My shoulder was not that hot. She does this all the time. I put her in the living room window, so she could be near us and watch us. She gave me that same look.
I guess she's trained us how she wants us to spoil her.
So, I have another pointless picture.
