Hey everybody -
My husband brought this lizard inside as it was almost froze to death and in a dangerously open area. I am unsure of exactly what kind it is and I am hopeing one of you can help so I can feed him properly until it warms back up outside as this winter is unseasonable cold for Florida. He is showing quite a cool personality and will bury himself under the sand completely and this morning he had jumped up and was hanging upside down under the UVB light. he also will get a black throat that goes down his sides on his belly but center of his belly remains white. he also is pretty laid back even after warming up, hope these personality traits can help. Thank you.
second pic is of him hiding in the sand

They only eat bugs. Anything that moves actually they are quite the eaters. Only thing is at this time of yr he should be sleeping. Feed him small crickets and have a bowl of water it its viv they will drink from it. They like it in the 95f to 102f basking. They love to bask he will try to get out so make sure the lid is on good. He will need a dirt/sand mix about 3 to 4 inches deep. He might dig himself in and contiune to sleep. I had them as pets since i was 5 yrs old. You can keep them as pets thing is only 50% survive. We take them in dr and fatten them up and turn them loose. We still see them in the back yard every summer. My daughter fell in love with Zilla a huge adult male we found covered in mites. It was so hard for her to let him go he was one awsome guy.

It is crazy that I have lived in florida my entire life and had never seen one until a year ago in person that showed obvious blues and was curious what they were and found out on here and well  I guess I had slept a few days since and not seeing the blue until I caught the right pic I was confused   . Well thank you guys, he has eaten some small crx and buried himself back down in the sand already. We already had planned are releasing him in a few days as he is obviously very healthy already.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
