Please help . All was well with my daughters beardy until she went to bed tonight and then I noticed that one of Ember the bearded dragons feet is turning brown. The only thing I can come up with is tail rot but does that happen in just feet? Thanks for any help!

Hello,

Do you have loose substrate or sand in the tank, or not?
Is that particular foot possibly going to shed? If so, they do turn color prior to shedding. Or,
she could have hurt herself somehow, too.
Is she limping or favoring the foot at all?

I have a carpet at the bottom. Usually when she sheds she turns a lighter shade and looks kind of cloudy. This is actually a whole different color. As far as hurt I'll know in the morning when she's up to eat. Thanks so much for your help!

Ok, let us know if she is limping or favors the foot area. I hope it isn't injured!
I'm glad to hear you don't have sand in the tank, that will sometimes cause staining, too.

Tracie,
She is walking on it fine. I took a temp reading at her basking spot and her lamp is a little warm. About 120 degrees. I'm going to move it a little to cool it down some. And also give her a bath. I just put new carpet down and cleaned so there wasn't any poop or anything to make her dirty but going to try anyway.

Hi there, can you post some close ups of the foot ? It is most likely just shedding skin.
