My 11 month old bearded dragon (female) was laying in her basking spot earlier, and she must have fallen and injured herself, I noticed her laying on the ground dragging her back legs behind her. She doesn't seem to be showing any pain or aggression . She fell about 2 feet, she definitely landed wrong. I don't see any swelling or knots or bumps on her back, so I'm not sure if its broken. She still has feeling in her legs but not really much movement. I don't think she's suffering from impaction as she went to the loo this morning like she does every morning. I have been feeding her the correct diet, using Calcium & D3 on a daily basis and giving her a fair share of natural sunlight everyday. So I don't see why it could be MBD because she was perfectly fine up until she hurt herself. I have never experienced this type of thing before and I am quite worried about her. She is my first bearded dragon and I've only had her for a week. She desperately needed a home and I provided one, but I really didn't expect this. There are no vets that specialise in reptiles in my area, I stay in Cape Town, South Africa. Where they are supposedly illegal ..She has not been acting weird or anything since I got her a week ago. She looks healthy . And at the moment she is just chilling like she normally does . She doesn't seem like she is in any kind of pain. Any help would be much appreciated. She has been fed 2 crickets this morning and she had a bath, but no poo. I must admit that its strange because she poops every morning. But she has been perfectly fine up until the accident. She has been given calcium & D3 daily and unfiltered sunlight most of the day. As I don't have a UVB light at the moment, I have one on its way. Was really not expecting this to happen , and to be honest I haven't really prepared for anything like this, she is my first beardie. And she was doing so well up until now. Right now I have everything out of her enclosure besides her water, she looks comfortable.
