My juvenile bearded dragon keeps falling and often falls onto his back, not able to flip himself back up.
When he walks he's always tripping and most of the time he ends up flipping himself into his back.

Please explain why this is happening?
I'm new and this is just a throwaway because I need answers, I'm really worried about him.

This is very serious and concerning. If you could give us detailed info on him & his setup, it would help us to be able to rule things out.

Balance problems and flipping over are not normal behaviors - do you have a exotics vet in your area that has experience with dragons?

The coil lights are not recommend. You need to get a reptisun 10.0 tube light. Also what calcium supplements are you giving? Sometimes hypo and hypercalcemia can cause neurological problems.

I don't think I can see a vet.
I'm using exo terra calcium + D3.
He's gotten worse, found him on his back today and put him back on his basking spot.
He stopped eating too, but still drinks water.
Also seems to be gasping for air? It looks like he's trying to swallow something and he'll make 3 hiccup noises.
He closes his eyes a lot and doesn't move he usually walks straight off and falls.
Thanks for all the replies again and sorry I replied so late!

I highly recommend at least phoning a reptile veterinarian. I've had really good experiences phoning around and asking for advice over the phone when I couldn't make it to a proper exotic/herp vet. Do some googling and contact someone over the phone. Another option is 24hr emerg vets. This behaviour is not normal, and if you don't get help ASAP it doesn't sound good :( I'm a nurse, and if I observed this behaviour in a human patient I would be in contact with a doctor ASAP. Same goes for reptiles. I'm so sorry you're going through this! It can be so hard if you either don't have the funds/means to get to a vet or don't have access to a herp vet! I've been there :(

Thank you so much..
I'm going out to buy new lights today.
He lays there with his eyes closed and wakes up to make more hiccup noises.
He's impacted now, but still eats and drinks.
Any advice?
Thank you for replying!

How do you know he is impacted? If he is unable to pass wastes I'm not sure how good idea it is to continue to feed - others might have some thoughts though.

He sounds poorly off, my advice is still to find a vet. Many offer care credit if cost is a concern.

My 2 1/2 year old beardie has developed an extremely red tongue at the tip, looks like a massive block blister! She eats super worms so she may have been bitten but I am worried to death :( poop and the White urine substance is normal and she eats ok, little hesitant to use her tongue. Any suggestions?

Hi there....it would be good to start your own thread Imma and more people could see it and comment. I can't see anything really wrong with it....it does look very pink, but it's not a good enough pink to show any injury. Is she keeping her mouth open like that ? I think it's probably fine, but if you start a thread + post more pics people could get a better idea.

Thanks, I literally just signed up because I've panicked a little, the really red tip,(now that I have had a look) is actually only just connected to her tongue by a fine layer of tissue. It appeared after she ate so I fear one of her live feed may have now bitten the end of her tongue off :( and no she doesn't always gape like that it's just her natural basking routine :) I need to get her treatment as I am scared she will loose the end of her tongue. Thanks!!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
